Today In Elvis history

FEB,24,1965- A soundtrack session for Elvis' new MGM film "Harum Scarum" is set up at the last minute in Nashville.Because of the hurried fashion in which it is set up,Elvis' regular session players are unable to be there. This is Elvis' first time in a studio in eight months and the musicians and technicians note his distraction and disaffection with the soundtrack material. He ends the session at 3:30 am after doing 38 miserable takes of "Shake that Tambourine"(watch video of "Shake that Tambourine" from Harum Scarum Below)
