Girls!Producer Hal Wallis is fueled by the success of the movie "Blue Hawaii" and is determined to promote Elvis the entertainer over Elvis the rebel actor.He wants to showcase him in fun,wholesome family films for all ages.With that in mind Norman Taurog,director of "Blue Hawaii" is once again the man in charge.
Soundtrack recordings begin at 11 am and run til after midnight,one Elvis classic does come out of this Film,writer Otis Blackwell's "Return to Sender",not written for the film,gets onto the soundtrack and is a hit for Elvis.It peaks at # 2 in the U.S and hits # 1 in the U.K.(Check out "Return to Sender" from "Girls!
