Today In Elvis History

APRIL,3,1960-Elvis charters a bus from Memphis to Nashville.He is planning a recording session over the next couple of days.He is joined by the same session players from the previous session except this time legendary saxophonist Boots Randolph is included.Elvis gets in the studio and instead of a couple day session he goes on a marathon 12 hour session recording 12 songs.This session produces some classics including "Are You Lonesome Tonight" and the song that will become his all time biggest seller "It's Now Or Never"The session runs from about 7:30 PM til 7:00 am the next morning.Below listen to "Are You Lonesome Tonight"
